Apostille Attestation

The Apostille Attestation is a procedure that simplifies the legalization of documents in order to verify the authenticity of the certificate so that it could be valid internationally. The Apostille attestation is a legalization of certificate for the Hague Convention countries.

Apostille attestation is an international attestation and most of the countries in the world recognize the Apostille attestation. Apostille stamp is a computer generated sticker stamp, affixed on the back side of the original documents by the Ministry of External Affairs. This computer generated stamp having a unique identification number, through which any member country of The Hague convention can check its authenticity. Normally, once the document is apostilled, it does not require to further attestation from the concerned embassy.

Apostille is acceptable in all member-countries of the Convention. Apostille is done for personal documents like birth/death/marriage certificates, Affidavits, Power of Attorney, etc. and educational documents like degree, diploma, marks sheet , 10th & 12th certificate As India is a member of the Hague Apostille Convention, 1961, no further attestation / legalization are not required for a member country, So an apostilled document should be treated as legalized document for all purposes accordance with the international obligation under Convention rules
